Galileo Research Facts No. 92: Can frequent Galileo Training improve the immune system?

During the 2nd Berlin Bedrest study (#BBR2, #GRFS147, #GRFS145, #GRFS127, #GRFS90, #GRFS87, #GRFS69, #GRFS68) also, the influence of intense Galileo Training on Creatine Kinase levels was investigated. During this study the participants had to stay in bed for 55 days. The control groups did no training at all, the Galileo group received identical resistance training (1.5 times body weight) + vibration only 6 * 1 minute and only 3 times per week.

The results: Compared to the passive control groups as well as compared to the situation before the bedrest phase the immune system of the Galileo group improved (reduction of inflammatory processes by 14%, improvement of immune function by 25-28%). These results are in line with many publications that show that physical activity (and therefor also Galileo Training) have a positive effect on the immune system.
