Galileo Research Facts No. 123: Can Galileo Training during squats increase muscle activation with each repetition?

This study investigated the effects of 8 repetitions of intense squats with and without Galileo Training on muscle activation (EMG). Both groups received 5 sets of 10 repetitions with additional loads of the 10 repetition maximum (10RM) – which resulted in an average additional load of 60% of the individual body mass. In addition to muscle activation after each set (EMG, see also #GRFS100) and blood lactate values (#GRFS119) this study measured changes in muscle activation (EMG) within 8 consecutive repetitions.

The results show that the combination with Galileo Training resulted in almost triple (+196%) the increase of the muscle activation during 8 repetitions compared to the identical exercise without Galileo. Another indication that training in combination with Galileo can be much more effective and therefor Galileo is great to be combined with traditional exercises in sports and fitness.
