Galileo Research Facts No. 89: Can 3 minutes Galileo Therapy improve balance in unilateral chronic stroke patients?
This study investigated the short-term effects of Galileo Therapy on balance in unilateral chronic stroke patients. The training time was just 4*45 seconds with 1 minute rest in-between using high frequencies (30Hz) and slight squatting. The results showed that training at high frequencies is also efficient to improve balance (standing with closed eyes & weight shifting tasks) by up to 13%.
Another prove for the effectiveness and efficiency of Galileo Therapy – and for how intense of short-term effects of Galileo Therapy can be. This is one of the big advantages of Galileo Therapy for the user: If an appropriate exercise is selected positive results will be visible in just a few minutes of training – if this is not the case most likely the wrong exercise was selected. Interestingly Galileo application at high frequencies which mainly targets muscle exhaustion (#GIS1, #GRFS3) also shows a relevant effect on balance…
