Galileo Research Facts No. 34: Can Galileo Therapy increase power in patients with acute COPD exacerbations?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 34: Can Galileo Therapy increase power in patients with acute COPD exacerbations?

This study tested the effect of Galileo Therapy on muscle function and power in patients with acute COPD (exacerbations) (20Hz, pos. 2, 3*2 min., 5/week, 2-3 weeks, bent knees). Both groups received standard physiotherapy (20 min/day), the Galileo group additional Galileo Therapy (3*2 min.). The Galileo group showed significantly higher results than the reference group with an increase in the 6. min. walking test of 57%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 33: Can one set Galileo Training + Blood Flow Restriction activate muscle Satellite cells?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 33: Can one set Galileo Training + Blood Flow Restriction activate muscle Satellite cells?

This study reports short-term effects of Galileo Training on skin blood-flow and blood Nitirc Oxide (NO) concentration as an indicator for intense muscle work (10*30 sec., 26Hz, pos. 2, 35° bent knees). The Galileo group showed significant higher effects than the control group. In addition it was observed that skin blood flow was highest during training but NO concentration was increased massively 5 minutes after the training...
Galileo Research Facts No. 32: Can Galileo Therapy increase muscle function in COPD patients within just 3 weeks?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 32: Can Galileo Therapy increase muscle function in COPD patients within just 3 weeks?

This study tested the effects of Galileo Therapy in COPD in-patients on muscle function and muscle power (24-26Hz, pos. 3, squatting exercises, 3x3 min., 5/week, 3 weeks). Both groups received conventional strength and endurance training (30 Minutes per session) and additionally 3x3 minutes squat exercises with and without Galileo. The Galileo group showed significantly higher therapy effects of up to extra 100%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 31: Can Galileo Therapy be used to increase muscle power even after lung transplant?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 31: Can Galileo Therapy be used to increase muscle power even after lung transplant?

This study tested the effects of Galileo Therapy in COPD patients after a lung transplant on muscle function and muscle power (24-26Hz, pos. 3, squats, 3x2 Min., 3/week, 4 weeks). Both groups received conventional strength and endurance training (30 Minutes per session) and additionally 3x2 minutes squat exercises with and without Galileo. The Galileo group showed significantly higher therapy effects of up to extra 150%...
Galileo Research Facts No. 30: Can Galileo Training in children with Cerebaral Palsy (CP) build up muscle and improve gait within just 8 weeks?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 30: Can Galileo Training in children with Cerebaral Palsy (CP) build up muscle and improve gait within just 8 weeks?

This study showed the effect of Galileo Therapy on muscle thickness and gait parameters in children with CP (Cerebral Palsy) (5-25Hz, pos.1-3, 6 Sets, 3 min. each, 3/week, over 8 week, increasing intensity). Both groups received regular physiotherapy, the control group additional physiotherapy. The conventional physiotherapy however was only able to stabilize conditions while the Galileo group improved significantly in just 8 weeks...
Galileo Research Facts No. 29: Can Galileo Training change muscle histology after only 12 training sessions?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 29: Can Galileo Training change muscle histology after only 12 training sessions?

This study shows the changes of muscle histology and muscle function using exhaustive Galileo Training for athletes (25Hz, 2 sets squats until exhaustion (max. 3 min.) with 40% (start) to 80% (end) body weight extra load, pos. 3-4, 2/week, 6 week). The Galileo group increase muscle fiber cross-section by 95% (Type 2) and 23% (Type 1) and the 1 Repetition Maximum (1RM) by 25% (from 111kg to 141kg)...
Galileo Research Facts No. 28: Can Galileo Training compensate the negative effects of HIT on anaerobic power?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 28: Can Galileo Training compensate the negative effects of HIT on anaerobic power?

This study used Galileo Training in rest phases between High Intensity Training (HIT) intervals to reduce loss of anaerobic power (20 Sessions HIT, HIT+18Hz/HIT+30Hz, 3 min., pos. 3, knees half bent). Galileo Training during rest phases could compensate the HIT associated loss of anaerobic power and MyHC-2x fiber cross-sectional area completely. Galileo Training at 18 Hz showed about 20% higher effects than training at 30Hz...
Galileo Research Facts No. 27: Can Galileo Training reduce back-pain and fall-risk at the same time?

15. September 2023

Galileo Research Facts No. 27: Can Galileo Training reduce back-pain and fall-risk at the same time?
