For strength, courage, and new paths!
On World Cerebral Palsy Day, we turn our attention to the millions of people worldwide living with this condition and celebrate every step of their progress. When it comes to supporting affected children, an advanced form of therapy has become firmly established in modern rehabilitation: Galileo vibration training.
Side-alternating vibration training stimulates muscles through reflex-based contractions. Scientific studies and therapeutic practices (such as the well-known “Cologne Concept”) demonstrate impressive treatment results for children with cerebral palsy
🏃♂️ Significant increase in walking distance: Studies show that, thanks to Galileo therapy, children were able to significantly extend their walking distance—by 11% to 35%—in functional tests.
💪 Gains in muscle strength and mass: Calf and leg muscles are strengthened and their function improved, leading to a tremendous boost in overall gait quality and stability.
🦴 Increased bone density: The training stimulates bone formation—a crucial factor in preventing osteoporosis and fractures associated with a lack of physical activity.
🩺 Avoidance of surgery: Targeted improvements in knee extension and trunk stability have, in many cases, successfully delayed or even completely prevented the need for surgery.
⚡ Spasticity and contracture management: Intensive, reflex-based muscle activation has been proven to reduce spasticity and improve flexibility, effectively counteracting contractures.
🩸 Enhanced blood circulation and sensory perception: Intensive activation improves proprioception and gives spastic, tense legs a more relaxed, lighter sensation.
Cerebral palsy is part of these children’s lives—but modern therapies like Galileo training help break down barriers and restore a significant measure of independence and quality of life.
Let’s raise awareness together!
