Within the first 2 weeks of the program in the hospital a set of exercises optimized for the patient is defined which will be performed 10 times per week (15 minutes per session) over a period of 6 months \u2013 the idea of this concept is to significantly increase the therapy volume (how often and how long per week).  <\/p>\n<p>While the improvement of muscle function has been reported in (#<a href=\"https:\/\/stratec-med.com\/wissenswertes\/grfs122-kann-galileo-therapie-bei-oi-patienten-die-muskelfunktion-und-masse-verbessern\/\">GRFS122<\/a>, #<a href=\"https:\/\/stratec-med.com\/en\/grfs\/galileo-research-facts-no-52-can-galileo-therapy-improve-muscle-function-and-bone-parameters-in-oi-osteogenesis-imperfecta-patients\/\">GRFS52<\/a>) this study showed a significant improvement of muscle mass (up to 14% in the leg) and bone mass (up to 31% in the leg) &#8211; these values are already corrected for growth effects (values in relation to body size or leg length).<\/p>\n<p>Up to now about 5000 children successfully received therapy with in Cologne Concept. This is a world-wide unique project \u2013 not only because of the overwhelming number of participants also of various very rare diseases but much more because of the unique methodology which has been used since the very first day over 15 years ago. This includes an extensive test battery which makes it possible to better understand effects of Galileo Therapy on a diversity of and also very rare diseases.
