The specific way vibration is generated mechanically makes a huge difference and has essential consequences for possible application of vibration training. <\/p>\n<p>This study compared side-alternating (Galileo) vibration and vertical (at the example of Power Plate) vibration. Patients with special knee, hip or vertebra implants with built-in force sensors where tested. These special implants allowed in-vivo (inside the human body) measurements of the actual joint forces during exercises in all three joints.  <\/p>\n<p>As a result, it was shown that when using identical parameters (frequency &amp; amplitude) side-alternating Galileo vibration training resulted in decreased joint forces between about 40% and 60% depending on the individual joint compared to vertical vibration training. Interestingly, the study also showed that the same time muscle activation is much higher (#<a href=\"https:\/\/stratec-med.com\/wissenswertes\/grfs2\/\">GRFS2<\/a>). Meaning: Higher muscle activation at lower joint forces due to the side-alternating movement of the Galileo plate. This is another prove of the very low joint forces during Galileo vibration training as well as how important the type of vibration device is for vibration training application. <\/p>\n<p>Further
